Welding & Fabrication in Delaware City and Port Penn, Delaware

Port Penn is about 14 miles from our Townsend shop and Delaware City about 19, or 25 to 30 minutes either way. These river towns are close enough that many customers simply drop off smaller parts, and for everything else our mobile rig comes to you, whether it's at the marina, on Route 9 or out on a farm field.

Small job? Drop it off at the shop in Townsend.

Delaware City & Port Penn is about 19 miles, or roughly 30 minutes, from our shop, so on-site trips here are for larger jobs: equipment that can't move, railings and gates, and bigger trailer repairs. For brackets, hitches, small parts and anything that fits in a pickup, bring it to the shop in Townsend. It's usually done faster and costs less. Call or text (302) 532-6240 first so Rick is there.

River, Industry and Farm Work

The Delaware City marina and Branch Canal boaters

Boats come and go through the Branch Canal, and there are plenty of boat owners in town. We weld aluminum rails, ladders and brackets, repair boat trailers and fix dock hardware, cleats and gangway parts.

See Marine Welding.

Contractors working along Route 9

The industrial sites along Route 9 keep a lot of contractors busy. We repair their trucks, trailers, tool racks, gang boxes and equipment, and we fabricate brackets and frames to order.

See Custom Fabrication.

Port Penn and Route 9 farms

The farms between Port Penn and Delaware City grow grain and need equipment that's ready at planting and harvest. We repair grain equipment, augers, wagons, implements and farm gates on site.

See Heavy Equipment Repair.

Working on a boat or dock? Send a photo of the damage and one from farther back so Rick can see whether it can come off and go to the shop, or needs fixing in place.

Delaware City is also the jumping-off point for the ferry to Fort Delaware, and the town gets plenty of visitors on the waterfront. Local businesses, the marina and homeowners along the river all deal with salt air and rust, so railings, gates and boat gear wear out faster here than inland. We can repair what's there or fabricate new parts in aluminum or stainless that hold up better.
