Gate, Fence & Railing Repair and Fabrication

A gate that drags, a fence panel that took a hit from a truck, a handrail that won't pass inspection: they're all welding jobs, and they're all things we fix. RickTheWelder repairs and builds steel and aluminum gates, fences and railings for homes, businesses and commercial properties across New Castle County and Kent County, Delaware, plus Eastern Maryland. Most of it gets done on site with our mobile rig, so nothing has to come off its posts.

Built From Scratch, Too

If the old one's past saving, we'll build a new one. Rick has fabricated powder coated handrails for a movie theater, done parking lot handrail alterations, and once fabricated a rail at 2am so a customer could pass a 9am inspection. We can work from your drawing, a contractor's spec, or a quick sketch on the back of a napkin.

Parking Lot and Sidewalk Handrails

Parking lot and sidewalk handrails, including alterations, are regular work for us. We do them on site with the mobile welding rig, so the lot stays open and nothing has to be hauled away.

Why Weld It Instead of Replacing It

A new gate or fence section can cost a lot more than fixing the one you've got. In many cases the frame is fine and only a hinge, post or corner has failed. Welding it back together, with reinforcement where it broke, gives you a stronger gate for a fraction of the cost. Rick is a certified welder, so it's done properly.
