Welding for Homes and Farms in Hockessin & Pike Creek, Delaware
Hockessin and Pike Creek are in the hills of northern New Castle County, about 30 to 32 miles, or 45 to 50 minutes, from our Townsend shop. It's a beautiful area of horse farms, stone houses and wooded lots, and most of the work we do there is fixing or building things that have to look good as well as hold up.

Hockessin & Pike Creek is about 30 to 32 miles, or 45 to 50 minutes, from our shop, so on-site trips here are for larger jobs: equipment that can't move, railings and gates, and bigger trailer repairs. For brackets, hitches, small parts and anything that fits in a pickup, bring it to the shop in Townsend. It's usually done faster and costs less. Call or text (302) 532-6240 first so Rick is there.
Farms, Older Homes and Stoves
Horse farms and estates along Route 41 and Route 82
From Hockessin out toward Yorklyn and the Pennsylvania line, there are horse farms and larger properties with long driveways and lots of gates. We repair and build driveway gates, paddock gates, hinges and latches, and we fix horse trailers: floors, dividers, ramps and hitches.
Custom railings for stone and older homes
Stone houses and older homes often need railings that match the house rather than something off the shelf. We build and repair porch railings, stair rails and handrails in steel or aluminum, and we can match existing scrollwork or keep it simple and clean.

Wood stoves, outdoor fireplaces and cast iron
Plenty of homes up here burn wood. When a cast-iron stove cracks, a stove door warps or an outdoor fireplace or fire pit breaks at a weld, we can often repair it instead of replacing it. Cast iron takes special care, and it's one of Rick's specialties.

Rick grinds and blends welds where they'll show, matches existing profiles where possible, and can leave the work ready for paint or powder coat.
