Mobile Welding in Chestertown, Maryland
Chestertown is about 30 miles, or roughly 50 minutes, from our Townsend shop, west across the state line and down Route 213. It's the county seat of Kent County, Maryland, and Eastern Maryland is part of our regular service area. Rick serves Chestertown the same way he serves Delaware: mobile welding at your dock, farm or driveway, or drop-off at the Townsend shop for smaller parts.

Boats and docks on the Chester River
Chestertown sits on the Chester River, and a lot of folks keep a boat here. We weld aluminum and steel boat parts, boat trailers, dock railings and ladders, in the water or in the yard. Rick also carries a TWIC card for access to port facilities.

Kent County farms
The farms around Chestertown keep hitches, implements, loaders, wagons and gates working hard. We repair them on the farm with the mobile rig.
Old iron in the historic district
Chestertown's historic district has more 18th century homes than almost any town in Maryland, and plenty of old iron railings and gates. We repair them in place and fabricate matching pieces. Check with the town about any historic district rules before changing a railing's style.
Chestertown is a longer drive for us, so photos help us plan. Send a close-up and a wider shot, and Rick will tell you what it needs and when he can get there.
Founded in 1706, Chestertown became one of Maryland's colonial Royal Ports of Entry and, for a while, the colony's second busiest port after Annapolis. Washington College, founded in 1782 and named for George Washington, is right in town, and every Memorial Day weekend the Chestertown Tea Party Festival reenacts the 1774 tea toss on the river, with the schooner Sultana standing in for the ship. Here's a fun one: in 1790 Chestertown was the center of population of the whole United States. Our hometown of Townsend has been listed as Delaware's.
