Welding & Repair in Odessa, Delaware

Odessa is about 7 miles, or roughly 15 minutes, from our Townsend shop by way of Route 13. It's part of the MOT area (Middletown, Odessa and Townsend) that we've been serving all along. Whether you live on Main Street in the old town or out on a farm along Route 299, we can fix it at the shop or bring the mobile rig to you.

Old Town, River Country and Farms

Older iron railings and gates in the historic town

Odessa's historic district is full of 18th and 19th century homes, and some of them still have old iron railings, fences and gates. We repair broken pickets, cracked welds and rusted posts in place, and we can fabricate matching pieces. If your home is in the historic district, check with the town about any rules before you change a railing's style.

Farms between Route 13 and Route 1

Plenty of the land around Odessa is still farmed. We repair hitches, drawbars, implement frames, loader buckets and farm gates, and the mobile rig drives right out to the field so you don't lose a day hauling equipment to a shop.

Commuters, trailers and trucks off Route 1

With the Route 1 interchange at Route 299 on the west side of town, a lot of Odessa folks drive for a living or haul for work. We fix utility trailers, truck beds, headache racks and hitch mounts.

Not sure whether an old casting or a rusty railing can be saved? Take the Will It Weld? quiz on your phone, or send Rick a couple of photos and get a free estimate before anyone drives out.

Odessa started out as Cantwell's Bridge, named for a toll bridge over the Appoquinimink River built in 1721, and was later renamed after the grain port of Odessa. Today it's a small town with a big history: the Corbit-Sharp House on Main Street, built in 1772 to 1774, is a National Historic Landmark. Small as it is, Odessa sits between two of the busiest roads in the state, Route 13 through town and Route 1 just to the west, so we're never far away.
