Mobile Welding in Rising Sun, Maryland

Rising Sun is in northern Cecil County, about 40 miles, or roughly an hour, from our Townsend shop by Route 896 and I-95. It's one of the farthest towns we cover, but Eastern Maryland is part of our regular service area, so Rising Sun farms, homes and businesses get the same mobile welding as everyone else.

Farms, Barns and Back Roads

Farms and barns around Rising Sun

The land around Rising Sun is old farm country, settled back in the early 1700s. We repair hitches, drawbars, implement frames, loader buckets, wagons and farm gates, right on the farm.

See Farm Equipment Repair.

Trailers on Route 1, Route 273 and Route 274

Horse trailers, utility trailers and equipment trailers all get worked hard on these roads. We fix tongues, frames, crossmembers, ramps, floors and hitch mounts.

See Trailer Repair.

Gates, fences and railings

From farm gates to porch railings in town, we repair steel and aluminum gates, fences and railings in place, or build new ones.

See Gates, Fences & Railings.

Rising Sun is about an hour from the shop, so we plan those trips ahead. Send photos first, and Rick can often group your job with others in Cecil County.

Rising Sun takes its name from a stone tavern built around 1720 on the road between Baltimore and Philadelphia, with a sign showing the rising sun. The area was part of the disputed Nottingham Lots until the Mason and Dixon survey in the 1760s put it in Maryland, and the town was incorporated in 1860. US Route 1 skims the edge of town on its way south over the Conowingo Dam toward Baltimore and north into Pennsylvania, and Plumpton Park Zoo is just outside town on Route 273.
