Mobile Welding in Glasgow, Delaware

Glasgow is about 18 miles, or 30 to 35 minutes, from our Townsend shop: straight up Route 71, over the Summit Bridge on Route 896 and into town at Route 40. It's one of the busiest crossroads in New Castle County, and a lot of what breaks here belongs to the businesses, shopping centers and truck traffic along those two roads.

Busy Roads, Busy Businesses

Shopping centers and businesses on Route 40 and Route 896

Retail plazas like Peoples Plaza and the businesses along Route 40 take a beating from trucks, carts and cars. We repair and alter parking lot and sidewalk handrails, fix bent gates and guards, and build steel parts to a contractor's spec, all on site so the lot stays open.

See Misc. Metals & Railings for Contractors.

Dumpsters and containers behind the stores

Every plaza has dumpsters, and the haulers who service them need cracked lids, broken hinges and rusted-out bottoms fixed. We weld them on site at the yard or the customer's location.

See Dumpster & Roll-Off Repair.

Trucks and trailers heading to Elkton and I-95

Route 40 runs west to Elkton and Route 896 runs north to I-95, so plenty of Glasgow businesses run trucks and trailers. We fix tongues, frames, liftgate mounts and truck bodies.

See Trailer Repair.

For a business, the fastest start is a photo. Text Rick a close-up and a wider shot of the damage and tell him where it is, and he'll let you know if it's a quick on-site fix.

Glasgow was known as Aikentown during the Revolution, and it still has some history tucked between the shopping centers, like the La Grange house on the National Register. Glasgow Park sits right by the corner of Route 40 and Route 896, and Hodgson Vo-Tech and Glasgow High School are both nearby. Homeowners in the neighborhoods around Glasgow call us too, for railings, gates and trailer hitches, the same work we do across the Route 40 corridor.
